Re: Using a Shepherds Whistle?

I have two (lost my first which I got as a present from my partner :-( ) One in plastic, just halfround, the other is an aluminium A1 whistle, I LOVE it, carry it around at all times around my neck. Compared to the other one it fits in my mouth really good, and the tone is much easier to make along ...

Looking at only her masking, it is indeed quite poor..
I have to say that it could already be seen at the first picture you show, that the eyebrows would be very dominant in the face.
Actually the eyebrows are the worst feature of her masking, taking them away, her masking isn't actually that bad.

I usually explain it as "a dog bred to have wolfish characteristics but without the wolfish behaviours" and then I often say a sled dog breed too as they are in that category (and more people are aware of that category rather than the spitz category)

Skygge has a tendency to sometimes wear her soft feet down when very active (and specially if swimming or walking in water too) so I have just ordered shoes for her, I hope to be able to do some biking with her later this year, but I don't want her to ruin her feet for it so that's the thought.

Being a Danish person I do not at all agree with the putting Marius down, BUT the reasoning for this is that Giraffes are not a species that has a lot of numbers having declined to less than 80,000 individuals, this one subspecies is less than 5,000 left, yet not considered endangered. Shouldn't a Swiss Shepherd look more… shepherdy? Actually, they don't look overly shepherdy - they have better (straighter) backs and hips, slightly longer coats and feathered ears. They look more like working line shepherds really.. or like a combination of those and long haired german shepherds..

neither I would DQ just like that unless it was so dominant it was ruining the overall type look of the dog (like a widows peak blaze or an all white tail)
