Re: How similar in personality to a golden retriever?

They are not remotely like Goldens :') mine is very friendly and sweet and like my shadow, he follows me around and loves my company, but he's also so smart that he really can have a 'what's in it for me?' sort of attitude and can pick and choose when he wants to do as he's told or just do his own t...

No one in the UK is an active breeder right now, but they might be in the next couple of years. Price of pup doesn't include transportation, if they need to be shipped you'll have to pay for it yourself but breeder will arrange it. You might also be charged extra for a breeder keeping a pup until sh...

Re: Register an unregistered Tamaskan?

I'm hoping to register my dog as an outcross eventually, like Hawthorne suggested (after speaking with some TDR people). I tried to get the DNA I needed from Lynn (namely Devon the Malamute) but she wouldn't hear any of it and just ranted about 'the scammers in Europe' so I honestly don't think you'...

I'm so sorry for your loss :( as for your question - what is her registered name/who are her parents? There's a list of known health problems on the forum somewhere, but I'm not sure about known heart problems. I don't know if something like that would be genetic or not but it's definitely tragic :/

Atlas, unregistered Tamaskan (Blustag Pluto/Blustag Sarina)

Hi :) I wasn't sure if I should post a thread with Atlas' pictures as he's currently unregistered, but since I've had some encouragement I figured I may as well. He's the result of an accidental litter in Wales between Lynx (Blustag Pluto - Jodie/Dingo) and Sansa (Blustag Sarina - Devon(Mal)/Ollie)....

Re: Hello from Michigan ^.^

Even though the CsV is considered a dog breed by the AKC's FCI, they are technically still wolfdogs. I don't think they are, most CSVs now are F5 at least which is classed as a dog. Even if Oskari has an F2/F3 in his lines, you said it was 4th and 5th gen, meaning that any of the Tams in Oskari's l...

Welcome! I think most lines actually don't have wolf content, as far as I know there were only two lines out of the foundation dogs Jodie and Whitefang (Henki and Valko) and most Tamaskans from those lines are many generations removed from them anyway. There's also the recent Sylvaen litter from a m...

Yeah I guess. In that case Points Unknown is probably off the table after the use of Arrow, nearly all their dogs seem related, and other Alaskan Husky breeders like Utkousa are also using the same dogs (they recently had a litter from Miss Squish, who's dam is Arrow's litter mate, Irish).
