Re: Tamaskan Aggression?

I really think that the key for a balanced and well mannered dog is socialise him early and socialise him a lot. Dogs will be dogs and more often than not sort themselves out in social situations. But regardless of breed they can be shy, dominant, playful or aloof and when they interact with each ot...

Re: Greetings from Australia

Apparently from the UK they can be in there for up to 30 days plus vet visits etc. Yeah - all dogs from the UK have to be in Australian quarantine for 30 days minimum. They have regular vet checks and need to be monitored and "given the okay" from the vet before they can leave. Fingers crossed our ...

Re: Frøya and her husky rival

Tuskyn (Alba Albyn) is from Odin & Xena and although his tail lifts up when he gets excited (and he fluffs up his hackles) it doesn't flip right over his back. It just lifts and curls slightly. Liz did tell us that Odin's tail wasn't good before we got Tuskyn, but since we weren't going to breed fro...

Its really interesting how different owners have different opinions about neutering :) More often than not, in the UK, vets tend to recommend that all "pets" are neutered to prevent unwanted behaviour and potential health problems like prostate cancer later down the line. Possible Tamaskan at the Inverness SSPCA centre?

Hi folks, My friend has just told me that there may be a Tamaskan at the Inverness SSPCA looking to be rehomed? Apparently the staff have listed it as a GSDxHusky but my friend says that it is the spitting image of Tuskyn and she's confident it's a Tamaskan. It was there yesterday when she collected...

They boys made it over safely so I thought I'd add a few shots of them. Not exactly the glamorous palm tree lined beachy images you may expect from QLD, but they'll be out of quarantine soon so I'll pop some decent shots of them up when we get them home. :D

This is the best shot I've got at the moment of Tuskyn's eye up close. They tend to vary depending on the light, but day to day they're a light coppery brown.
