There is spreading news of FDA (Food & Drug Administration) about a recall on dog jerky - mainly those that are made in China. For more info and brands affected, visit http://www.globalanimal.org/2013/10/24/ ... rom-china/
If you're feeding any type of jerky regardless of brand, I'd suggest stopping until they find the source. This also includes sweet potato jerky and rawhides. If you must purchase jerky for your dogs/cats for whatever reason, make sure the label states it's MADE IN THE US and NOT "made in china". Some brands of jerky are not marked on where they're produced or packaged; only where it's distributed from - stay away!
However, if you're making your own jerky for your pets (or yourself... ), then more power to you.
