It was funny seeing the name Holly up there, my older dog is called Holly and came from a rescue centre, she has been a great dog (must be the name!). I hope this Holly's foster home loves and takes care of her and that she has a long and happy life.

We'll see if the new home sticks... just talked to the adopter tonight and although she is getting along well with the resident dog, it sounds like one of the adoptive parents is having difficulty with the energy level with the two dogs.... we'll see ;)

Holly

Post by michifloo » Sat Mar 05, 2011 8:27 am

Unfortunately, this girl has come back into rescue through no fault of her own... the adoptive parents just dont "get" northern breeds....she has been tracked as an actual Tam cross with GSD. about 10 months old, house broken, UTD, spayed, smart as a whip, likes all people and dogs, loves to chew and is a digger at this point. I have a couple of feelers out, but its always nice to have a back-up plan ;) No FaceBook entries for this girl, please ;) She will be coming back to me on 3/12.......

How can someone adobt such a special type of dog without any knowledge to how they are?
I'm just thinking.. It makes me a little angry!

She looks so lovely!

She's very nice. If you need help finding a home I'll be happy to try and find someone. I know a lot of people that would like to adopt young dogs, but they like to meet them first most of the time.

I think this is a case of "pretty dog" syndrome. Honestly, I can't understand what happened, either... I have a feeling that the spouse wigged out with the extra pup in the house, does not matter, Holly is one of the best behaved dogs I have had in Rescue, and just sweet as can be...

I can't be mad about it, people are weird and strange, I'll never understand them...dogs, now dogs I understand ;)

Poor Holly...... I hope it wasnt to traumatic for her to be shifted about so much

Holly is very well adjusted and flexable ;) I, hopefully, have identified a home close to Madison for the beautiful girlie. I had asked to new adoptive parents if she could stay with me for a few days so I can work on some basics and be sure she is healthy ;) pics attached... pretty girl! She's filled out a little too much (lots of table scraps at the old home ;( but the Vet said it was mostly fur...
