Possible Tam needs a home... (South Carolina, USA)

Post by Sylvaen » Wed Aug 08, 2012 12:02 am

Supposedly born May 22, 2010. Not much else is known about him but he really looks like a Tam to me. Does anyone recognize him or know what bloodline / litter he might be from? He seems really familiar to me (as if I've seen his photo somewhere before) - I just can't put my finger on it.

He's located in South Carolina and needs a suitable home...

Does look quite a bit like a Tamaskan, but something about his looks tells me not full, reminds me of my last foster girl. Wish we had more info and he gets to a forever home soon.

Wow, he looks a lot like Auri. Have any Dingo boys been imported to the US?

Yes: Mikko is Dingo X Susi...
Perhaps this is a Conchur pup?

Don't think Conchur pup, her first litter was in August 2010.

When were Heidi litters born? Looks like her mask.

Edit: Or maybe from the Pig litter: May 24, 2010 NevadaXSkye
P.S. I love the TDR database! :D

This looks like one of the puppies Tundra produced (of RPK). I'll ask around.

His Date of Birth might NOT be 100% accurate. We were first told that he was a 12 WEEK old puppy (!!) born on May 22, 2012 - I said "NO WAY! he is definitely older than 12 weeks old" (lol) - and, sure enough, the next day it was confirmed that he is actually closer to 2 YEARS old. That birthdate might be totally off though... for now we just have the photo to go on and, if it helps, he is currently called "Carlise".

if it wasn't for the date I would say that looked quite a lot like a Heidi offspring - but she had a litter the fall/winter before and then again 01/10 2010..

That face just looks a lot like Heidi and several of the daughters of her's I have seen - he even has the blaze down in the middle.. and almost perfect Heidi coloring..

Heidi -2010
Image

This is the 2010 fall-winter litter of Heidi's
4 of the blazed ones can be accounted for (pretty much) 1 is Rambler - who are in the states (and this one is too light to be him I am pretty sure), then there is Leska, Kira and my Sølve - but still one last that is un-accounted for in that litter.. I only know one more from that litter and that is Bow of the dark ones.. there are 4 I don't know where ended up..

Yep, I was thinking either Heidi / Skye / Dingo bloodlines.... he reminds me a lot of Nixi, Lynx, Auri, etc...
He might even be one of those pups in that photo, wish there was a way to find out for sure.

DNA profiling.. "we" have the DNA profiles of all of the above and I have just around 2-3 weeks ago sent in Sølves..

Ears don't look like Heidi's but face does and ears looks a bit like Lilli's and even Jackal's on this image
Image
(Sølve's looks like a good mix between the two, with more of the size of Jackal's but the furring of Heidi's)

I do also see Skye there from some of the images I've seen of him..

RPK had a lot of puppies around that time, so many they grouped them together in males and females, not listing the dates. A few look like they could be this dog.

and a few more, don't feel like listing them all.

I can say 100% sure it is not one from Conchur but I also must say that he has something very familiar.....

I believe there are three puppies Heidi x Jackal here in the USA: Rambler, Loba, and Loki

Do we have anymore photo's of this guy?

I am very confident that this is an RPK dog and not an Aatu dog given the informations are still in question. Has anyone asked Regina if she recognizes the dog? Also from the picture, it doesn't look like a full Tamaskan (at least not to me) but a cross while when I look at the Aatu dogs they are legitimate Tamaskans (in appearance) so it cannot be a Conchur dog in my opinion.

Lucas, it has already been stated that this is not a Conchur pup.

What exactly do you base your opinion that doesn't look like a Tamaskan, which traits?

I would say this one looks much more like a full Tamaskan of Whitefang/Valko lines than any other of the possible mixes we have been made aware of.
Even some full Registered Tamaskan's looks less to standard than this one..

To clarify, I mean by he looks like a dog out from Apache at RPK but until DNA testing is done I don't know 100%. I'm not sure about the other parent though as many mutts bred in that environment have been crossed with Mother Nature knows what. I could be wrong and he may not be RPK bred but from the dog's face in that picture the first dog that came to my mind was RPK's Apache from the Moose and Tasha litter. But I admitted that as confident as I am, I'm only guessing. This dog could be from any other dog. It could also be from any other unrelated mutts that just so happens to coincidentally resemble a Tamaskan as there are plenty of those in the In Harmony with Nature Rescue Shelter in Florida.

Do you know if he is still available? I contacted Denise several times this week and she hasn't gotten back to me yet.
