Interesting Imgur Post

Post by rhadamant » Mon Aug 17, 2015 4:16 pm

Hey all! I'm very proud that Tamaskan's are bred for health before really any other trait or personality characteristic. This Imgur post sites a book, but the post speaks for itself.

TL;DR

So many breeds have been ruined by chasing an unnatural ideal, leaving their dogs disfigured and massively unhealthy.

Thank you. And thanks for the article.

Sometimes I do worry that in the quest for a perfectly healthy dog we may breed not enough dogs. But what you posted serves as a useful reminder to the community.

I agree, I'd love to see more healthy Tamaskans out there, just not the RPK way. This is why I'm planning on breeding one of my two, simply to give people and families the same fulfillment I get with my dogs.
