Yarrow (ANCD) howling

Post by Kootenaywolf » Fri Jul 13, 2012 6:53 am

Today Yarrow heard a siren for the first time, and he immediately started howling. I happened to have the camera on hand and caught a couple videos. I love this sound!

I wish my Zephyr howled... He was looking at me funny when I was listening to Yarrow.

It's funny, he reacts as wolves, who often howl when they hear sirens or even planes

I love hiw howl, it's such a deep and pleasant sound!

(also when I played the video and Monobi woke up from his slumber and looked around all "WHAT'S THAT?" and then just relaxed and fell asleep again :D)

Yeah! I really like the sound of his howl, but Nino you are right he does need to hold it a bit longer! A few times before this he was doing a little more drawn out howls but this was the only video I got where you could really see him. It's funny, we were out on a ride when this happened and the whole ride home he kept howling even though we couldn't hear the sirens any more. He hasn't really howled again since this....I was thinking of playing audio of sirens and seeing if it will set him off again. I would really like to teach him to howl on command!

It's always funny the reactions you get from your dogs when playing videos of other dogs howling or barking :)
