New from Columbus Ohio

Post by Cavs44 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 2:21 pm

Just wanted to say hello. My wife and I have been looking to bring a Tamaskan into our home. Contacted a few owners/ breeders without response. Continuing the search while learning more about the breed and preparing to have one join the family. Your help and expertise is much appreciated. We would love to meet anyone somewhat local to discuss ownership and meet this wonderful breed in person.

Thank you for the welcome! Aside from everything Ill be learning. Are there any specific breeders you'd recommend contacting? Or typically when litters are available?

Hawthorne in Pennsylvania, Moondance in Wisconsin, White Elk in Washington, Tarheel in North Carolina, and Siera in California I beilive all have plans for breeding either at the end of this year or sometime next year. If you ever get the chance, try to meet some of the breeders in person so you can meet the dogs, and they should be more than happy to talk with you about any questions you have.

Awesome! Ill try to contact Hawthorne and Tarheel. Probably more likely to be able to visit or meet them unless I plan a trip out West. Oops missed Moondance as well. Are any of those owners active on the forums here?

Hawthorne is kind of active here on the forum as one of the mods. You can also find them on Facebook as they are more active there.

Sierra is where I got my boy (their only current puppy) and I definitely recommend her. You'd have to email her though at SierraTamaskan@gmail.com she's planning a litter this winter hopefully :D
