Hello from Virginia
Good afternoon! I have recently fallen in love the Tamaskan breed and find it particularly exciting as a developing breed. As a biologist, I am fascinated by how you will incorporate genetic diversity while maintaining the breed standard. Thank you for this forum. I look forward to using it to gain as much knowledge as possible before acquiring a Tamaskan of my own in a few years. We are debating between purchasing a pet-quality male for a great family pet or a high quality female in order to become a very small scale registered breeder. We are leaning towards finding a nice female to be a part of our family, but also to be shown occasionally and bred 1 - 2 times in her lifetime. I would ask the group if there is support out there in the Tamaskan world for conscientious but small scale breeders and would love any advice you may have about Tamaskans in general. I am a very experienced dog owner, but have never bred anything but horses. Thanks in advance for any advice for a newbie - I look forward to reading through all of the material on the forum!

I'm a newbie too! I'm hoping to learn even more about Tamaskans through this forum of experienced owners. Nice to virtually meet you!
