An Aspiring Tamaskan Owner in Tennessee

Post by JulieoftheWolves » Wed Jan 11, 2017 3:54 am

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you. :D My name is Julie and I am an avid lover of wolves and dogs, especially the Tamaskan! I volunteer at a wildlife nature preserve in Tennessee where I help care for nine gorgeous gray wolves and other rescued animals. Thanks to this time and experience with wolves, I have learned that they do not typically make good pets and it really takes an experienced individual to care properly for a wolf or wolfdog. It breaks my heart to hear about so many stories of wolves/wolfdogs being euthanized because their inexperienced owners realized this fact too late. When I discovered the Tamaskan, I instantly fell in love! A dog with strikingly similar beautiful physical traits of a wolf but the gentle temperament of a domesticated dog? Perfection! My family and I hope to be welcoming a Tamaskan into our family sometime this year. I look forward to chatting with each of you and learning all that I can from experienced Tamaskan owners and breeders!
