Just found this gorgeous guy whilst browsing through the local rescue websites, was not expecting a Tamaskan to pop up! Wish I could take him but it's not to be! Presumably from Liz's breeding if he's this far north.

It's alright Katlin. I understand you were just trying to get your opinion across, like the rest of us.
I found this link to be quite good:-

Seems like titers aren't really all that useful.

It's a shame about the dew claws. My vet whipped one off Maya when she got spayed. I wonder if their vet ever recommended they have them removed?

Annual vaccinations
Just got a postcard from my vet today letting me know Maya's due her annual vaccinations. I'm switching her over to a RMB diet next week when her last bag of dog food is finished and it got me thinking about all of the unnecessary chemicals being pumped into my dogs body. I know that in the US vacci...

I've been meaning to post this for a while. When I was taking Maya to hydrotherapy one of the girls there was in the process of getting a half rottie; quarter german shepherd; quarter tamaskan puppy. The tamaskan in the mix originally came from Liz at Alba and the owner then mated it with a rottweil...

Re: Spay/Neuter
When we got Jazzy, we got her strictly as a pet dog, not a show/breeding dog. We had to sign a spay/neuter contract stating that we will spay her at the appropriate age. We got her spayed at around 6.5-7 months old, and she is perfectly fine now, just as bubbly and energetic as before. Most breeder...

What's in doggy ice cream?
Maya eats whatever's in her Kong in 5 minutes or less. She's more interested in her Kong Wobbler and the kibble in that lasts about half an hour.
If only she would pace herself!

Re: Ramble Away...
I have a pet corrector spray that I use for Maya when she occasionally decides to lunge for a dog (all noise and snapping, no barking). It makes a loud hissing noise that distracts her and then I tell her 'nicely'. It's good for Maya because her problem is mostly leash reactivity so when she's naugh...

Jacinda do you have a Kong wobbler or something similar to make meal times more fun? Maybe Lexi would eat more if she had to work for it? I have a Nina Ottoson pyramid that I could send to you if you want. It's only got a small opening though so the kibble pieces have to be small.

I just got an earful last night on the RMB yahoo group. Apparently it's not good to feed raw and kibble together at all (even if they are not in the same meal). So you should be feeding either one or the other (guess which one they recommend!) as dog's digestive systems are 'dumbed down' by eating k...
