Re: Separation anxiety
Finch had a bit of a relapse but he does really well on his own when he has another dog with him - it's been best when my sister's female Newf, who is still young and ready to play, is with him. I know this goes against of a lot of the advice surrounding SA so it might just be that I got lucky - but...

If Blufawn and Blustag are separating themselves from this TDR committee what of the future breeders who are planning on using Blustag/fawn dogs to breed? Will their dogs still be seen as acceptable?

She's such a lovely girl! Finch's trainer has suggested an E-Collar as well - he understood I was uncomfortable but took the time to explain that because Finch was so smart I would probably only have to zap him once and then just leave the collar on and use the vibration settings from then on - he e...

Hi and welcome to the forum! That sounds like a solid plan. Finch had to be restrained and muzzled for a painful shot once but the vet was very gentle about the whole thing and when he freaked out a bit she offered an oral medication alternative that I could give him myself. After she took the muzzle off she made sure to play a...

If your other dog is good at recall then the chances are that your Tamaskan ( if you get one) would follow). Finch is great with recall when we're walking in a pack of dogs - he'll follow his pack no matter what! He's also really great or when we're all by ourselves but if there are lots of dogs wa...

I think taking a tour is a great start in determining if this place is safe for your dog. Check out the kennels to make sure they're clean and secure. I think you've covered all the bases! It's pretty clear that negotiating with RPK in anyway does NOT benefit the tamaskan breed and that RPK's operation is, in fact, detrimental to the breed.
