I too was thinking that it's a bit too wolfy looking to be a Tam but it's still very beautiful. I hope they catch it soon before anything bad happens

Re: Rabies
I'd rather be safe than sorry, and I think with our healthcare system I'd probably get the shots for free if going abord into a country which is known for it's rate of rabies among strays. Speaking of vaccination, I think I'm actually overdue for getting a tetanus booster. So much for rather being ...
Re: Ticks
Yeah, it seems that all of the better products use permethrin >.< Thats cause it works, I have some outdoor cloths that are treated with Permethrin and I never have problem with bugs when I wear them. Wow that actually sounds great :) I would love to try that since I just found 2 Ixodes ticks unatt...

They're all gorgeous but Todor and Botev Vrah are my 2 faves.
I would love to take one of these pups home with me but i'm afraid the shipping expense by air is too much, I really hope they find their forever homes soon.

Re: Ticks
I have recently come across a Tick Twister myself and have read and heard many good reviews :). But I have also been reading alot of bad stories with Frontline, like how it doesn't prevent ticks from attaching to dogs and that it just attracts more ticks in general. I would like to know if there are...

Re: Tarheel Pack Intentionally Poisoned.
I will definitely share this link on FB and on my own Tumblr blog as I do not own a twitter account. I will ask friends of mine, who all love animals, to do the same in hopes of getting the this more known, I hope this helps.

Re: Tarheel Pack Intentionally Poisoned.
Praying for Tarheel pack to make a full recovery and for this person to be arrested. Anyone who has it in their mind to hurt an animal is not fit to be in society in my opinion.

Re: AI
I'd think using AI would be a bit of a longer and harder procedure than using traditional mating for dogs. One reason is that the sperm must be cooled or frozen at a certain temperature if its not being used the same day or they will die...unless i'm wrong lol. Another thing i'm thinking about is th...

Hi and welcome to the forums :) I too live in New York however nowhere near Rochester lol. I also am looking to get a Tamaskan after I graduate college and the closest breeders that I can think of are Tarheel in North Carolina (where I'm hoping to get my puppy from) and Hawthorne in Pennsylvania. I was just 16 when I first found out about the Tamaskan. I was looking on the internet at multiple northern breeds because my family was finally looking to get a dog again and those breeds, especially the Siberian Husky, has always been a favorite of mine.
