Re: "Tamaskan Wolfdog" (RightPuppy Kennel)

If there is anything I can do just say. Hopefully this time he will be closed down and feel what it is like to be kept in a cell. I think it is worth the risk of the dogs being euthanized, if they can not be rehomed then it has to be better than the hell they are in now. Hopefully though they can be...

Re: "Tamaskan Wolfdog" (RightPuppy Kennel)

Just when you think he can not get any worse he does. :(
I find it hard to believe someone could care so little about the dogs he breeds or the people he sells to.

Re: Puppy Mill Awareness!

Better hadnt tell ya all how many dogs I have then    LOL, I did say a limit on breeding dogs, not total number of dogs. Not sure what the limit should be as some people can cope with more than others. Quality of care matters more than anything and I am sure your dogs get plenty of t...

Re: Ramble Away...

I just love taking my dog for a walk in the morning. I dropped my daughter off at school and went for my usuall walk along the brook and saw a king fisher. Well I saw a flash of blue as it flew away, never have managed to get close enough to see it properly, hopefully one day. Getting out for the da...

Re: Dog-owner prevented from finding microchipped pet under

It does seem strange that he did not report it to the police, its the first thing I would do, that and contact the RSPCA and any other local rescue centres. My current dog is microchipped and insured and as will be any other dog I have.

Re: Hunting Instinct?

I forgot to say my terrier caught a rabbit once, We came round the corner to find her and the rabbit in the middle of the path and the dog had her nose pressed against the rabbits back neither moving. In the end the rabbit ran into some brambles and they ended up face to face until we called the dog...

Re: My rat pack

I love all the pics of the baby rats and the one of the rat and mouse. When I got my rat she was not much bigger than the mouse, probably a bit on the young side. She was in a pet shop with lots of other babies as about 3 or 4 rats had given birth at the same time. It was probably not the right thin...

Re: My rat pack

I had a hooded rat called Robin!! When I got her I had a male mouse who was being bullied by some of the other mice, so I put them together and they got on great. In the end she used to live with the mice and was so soft they could pinch food out of her paws. When I got another rat to keep her compa...

Re: Puppy Mill Awareness!

I think a limit on the number of breeding dogs is a good idea, that and being able to prove that all un-neutered dogs have the appropriate health checks done. I am not sure about limiting breeding to only established breeds as that would stop new breeds like the Tamaskan being developed. Unfortunate...

Re: Heyya From Central Illinois, USA!

Hi Welcome, I picked the Tamaskan after seeing a Northern Inuit, but some quick research showed them not to be suitable with young children as they are bouncy and not that trainable. The Tamaskan looks more wolfy and is more trainable from what I have read and seen. I am on the waiting list for our ...

Re: Hunting Instinct?

Its not just Tamaskans who like to hunt, we have a small terrier cross and have found dead mice in the house that she has caught. Normally she is such a softy and will let our guinea pigs walk all over her. It must be how they move that attracts her.

Hi Pete, We live in Chorlton (South Manchester), but I am still waiting for our Tamaskan, I have my fingers crossed for soon. Once we get ours it would be lovely to meet up with another Tamaskan. We went to the Birmingham show with our two children and small terrier, but I can not remember if we cha...

Re: Puppy Mill Awareness!

Hi Jonathan, I am not sure what the answer is either, licencing does not seem to work responsible owners get them the rest don't, and it does not stop puppy farms. There does seem to be enough regulation of breeding in the UK, but what does seem to be lacking is the willingness of the authorities up...

RSPCA Campaign against Puppy Farms

Hi has anyone else noticed that the RSPCA are running a campaign against puppy farms at the moment? There is a blog discussion on whether dog licencing would work or not, the feeling at the moment is that they would not work, and other suggestions are being made. If anyone has some good ideas on how...

Re: WAVE: NCSU's NEW Live Mascot!!

Congratulations to Wave. Personally I think it is a good idea that they say the dog is cross, keep the complication of breed out of it for now. Time enough later to promote Tamaskans when RPK is out of the picture properly. Do not want to give him any chance of publicity!

Re: Dog Attack / Meeting Aggressive Dogs

I have a small terrier type dog, probably Jack Russell crossed with Yorkshire Terrier, but not sure as she came from a resuce. She is not aggressive but can get snappy if other dogs don't leave her alone as she does not really know how to play. I am usually lucky when walking my dog, but we did have...
