We are contemplating changing Ooki's food from Beta, as he often has runny poo..
And as so many of you are recommending Orijen, this is probably what we will try.
I have read up on it a bit and it seems great.
Ooki is 13 months now, should we start him on Orijen puppy or adult?

We had the exact same thing with Ooki, he changed a lot.
He still changes a bit between darker and lighter, that migt be the winter coat still coming out a bit though, not sure.

Well, surely every serious Tamaskan breeder will from now on have all their dogs tested for this? I can at least say that now knowing that this disease exists within the breed, I would not buy a puppy from a breeder that does not test its breeding dogs. Even the thought that Ookami might be a suffer...

Sounds like a very nice event indeed.

Unfortunately we found out about it a bit late and we already had plans for this weekend,
but we might be interested in attending in the future, if it's not too far away etc.

I am sorry to hear that Rahne, but let's all hope for the best, that Konah never has to suffer from it.
I will have Ooki tested, even if we will never breed from him, I want to know if he might be at risk as well so that we are prepared for it.

it's Ookami's 1st Birthday today and I have done a little video of photos of him
from he was 5 weeks til now.. The photos are in chronological order so you can 'watch him grow up'.

Ooki is a pretty big and handsome boy now, and my old dog is 11 years old, but they are still 'my little babies'.

She is the spitting image of our Ookami, so I reckon she must have the same dame and sire as Ooki, or at least one of them.
