We stayed at the Sleep Inn on Tradewinds Parkway last year. Not sure if they have a limit as to how many dogs can be in a room though since we only had the one. Actually, I wish Max didn't do the whole "marking" thing. He'll be a year old next month and has been marking now for only a couple months. Yep, Max (11 months) will have a fur streak down his whole backside sometimes when he's been playing with one of his "cousins" for no apparent reason (that I can see). Sometimes even when we're getting ready to go for a walk, and he loves his walks). :?

Oh my, Tallulah is such a little beauty. She sounds just like Max, except for the socks. Actually, he hasn't chewed on any clothing. He only likes to chew on anything with stuffing (his stuffed toys, lose sofa pillows :| ), and he doesn't have an "alpha" bone in his body either. :)

Oh wow, I remember seeing, sometime this past summer, a post from someone who sent a picture in response to people complaining about the heat. The picture was one of the best I have seen. It showed a Tamaskan sitting on a front stone porch with snow all around and it was snowing at the time as well....

One other option I can think of for the really stubborn jumpers would be to use a shake can. Take a can (pop, beer, whatever) and put about 6 pennies in it. I find most dogs really react to the noise when you give it a good shake. So arm yourself with a shake can AND treats, and when the dog jumps ...

What you could try is have the dog drag a leash around the house, only when supervised. Or if you know you're expecting visitors, clip a leash on before the whole chaos ensues and keep the dog near you. Hmm, I'll have to try this. Max does do a lot of jumping but he is still sort of ;) controllable...
