Looking for a long lasting Kong or any chew toy

Post by Tiantai » Mon Jan 06, 2014 10:07 pm

This is not for me but I am trying to help a friend in British Columbia search for a kong that can last for at least 4 months or longer.
I was told that a pug she owns keeps on destroying one kong after the next and sometimes consuming small pieces which have to be forced out and she is trying to find not necessarily a kong but anything similar that is hard. Ironically her mid-content wolfdog doesn't destroy these things that fast but the little pug is quite the destroyer of things so any recommendations will do.

Westpaws toys...

Wylie destroyed a blue (radio opaque) KONG, a red one, and a black one before I gave up and went with Westpaws. We have the Tizzi, Tux, and Hurley and he loves all three. Tizzi is the light blue, Tux is the lighter green, and Hurley is orange.

I also like the Planet dog Orbee toys, but they last a moderate amount of time. No one can say that toys will last longer than 4 months, but if that dog is destroying toys in hours then it is not an appropriate toy. There has already been a post about this too.

I second West Paw. Mowgli hasn't made a dent in his, and he LOVES it!

Thank you to both of you, I will ask Rowan if she has tried those before.

Edit: Apparently she has had success with antlers too
