Mila is so pretty! I think my favourites are the close-ups. I hope you will submit one of those for the calendar Hawthorne is going to make

She's such a lovely girl! Finch's trainer has suggested an E-Collar as well - he understood I was uncomfortable but took the time to explain that because Finch was so smart I would probably only have to zap him once and then just leave the collar on and use the vibration settings from then on - he explained it as a necessary evil to keep Finch safe and made sure to insist that he would be present to explain how to use it properly and safely - I would be lying if I said I wasn't considering it...

Re: Mila (Blustag Yowler) 15 months old
Yes, it is very difficult. My trainer also suggested it. We agreed I would go further with the training for a few months and if she will not improve, we are going to discuss the E-collar. She stays nearby but I just don't know if she finds a track from a deer or spots a cat and the risk is very high that she could get hit by a car. Especially if I take her somewhere where I don't know the area. And I would like it if my dog can come with me on vacation etc. and not have to worry about her running off. So I can fully understand you.Canadia wrote:She's such a lovely girl! Some new pictures of Mila! She is now sixteen months old. The pictures are made by Anja Kolb at the German Tamaskan Day at 9 June, last month. Didn't took the time to post the pictures, so they are a bit late, but I just had to post them, because they are so beautiful! You can see Konah in the pictures too, Mila was pushing her luck with Konah which gave some nice pictures about dog behaviour.
She is playing with the males Mika and Sam.

Sam is out of Susi x Skye. Nice boy but he was very 'straight' in his hindquarters (stifle I think), it made me feel a bit uncomfortable when I saw him walking...Gaby wrote:I don't know, to be honest. I looked, but haven't found one. I don't know if you can see it from a picture though. But he took little steps with his back legs and his hindquarters looked weak.Nino wrote:is there a photo where I can see what you mean about Sam's hindquarters?

Howdy! Mila is gorgeous! I was wondering if she has any Saarloos blood in her. In her expressions it looks like a possibility. Very nice dog, and awesome display of canine behavior!

I love this pretty little lady... She looks beautiful...

Thank you for all the nice reactions and I'm sorry for my late one! I haven't been much on the forum lately
, I'm working quite a lot so I'm not spending much time behind the computer anymore and spend all my time outside with the dogs. Mila is 21 months old already and I took some nice pictures in the autumn sun.

It looks like Mila is just wandering alone given the length of the tall grasses and the natural background even though you're obviously there with the dog.

Re: Mila (Blustag Yowler) 21 months old
Great pictures. She's such a nice looking dog. Are you planning on breeding her in the future?

Thanks, I tried to make the pictures as "natural" as possible.Tiantai wrote:It looks like Mila is just wandering alone given the length of the tall grasses and the natural background even though you're obviously there with the dog.

Yes, if the tests are okay I would like to do that. I'm thinking about doing an outcross with a more shepherd kind of dog to improve her preydrive. She likes to hunt. She listens very well, untill she spots, smells or hears an animal nearby. Than she is gone for a while, but not very long. But she will run across a street if she spots a cat for example.KRHert wrote:Great pictures. She's such a nice looking dog. Are you planning on breeding her in the future?

With the snow I made some pictures of Mila that I wanted to share with you! She loves the snow, I believe that this is the best time of the year for her. You can see her happy face in the pictures.
She is almost two years old now! Time flies.

And some other pictures from earlier this month, Mila was running around with a Belgium shepherd, she was too fast, but at the end the shepherd caught up on her...
Mila did not like that very much.

Thank you all for the reactions! And thank you Akaye531 and Wolfheart2112! Her coat is really nice I think, she doesn't loose much hair either if I compare her to shepherds or husky's. I never have to brush her, her coat is just always in perfect shape.
