Zephyr did great on his first camping trip... He was really respectful to the wildlife and enjoyed the opportunity to snuggle instead of sleeping in his crate. He got startled when a few coyotes came through camp but he didn't make a peep just sat up listened then cuddled in closer

Hopefully I will get some better photo's this weekend's camp trip

He was falling off every few minutes and at one point was sitting in my lap with his head over my shoulder snoring. The ground is not a place for sleeping in his mind... Haha

Picture of Zephyr at 4 months old on are camping trip this past weekend.

He is growing so fast and doing really well learning his commands. He also enjoy's sleeping on camping trips, I suspect its because he gets to cuddle in the sleeping bag

Re: Zephyr (Blustag Blue Gem) Nana x Jackal 2011
Our last campout of the year was right after we had 13 inches of snow. Zephyr found two mice in the snow ( I didn't let him get a hold of them) and we saw a deer on our hike in. We had some hiccups in the trip plan which included forgetting to pack a tent to sleep in so we set up a tarp and set up a wind barrier with snow. It turned to be my favorite fall trip and I think Zephyr's too as he got to be off lead for a bit.
Zephyr practicing wearing his pack so he can cary his own stuff eventually

Snuggling in my lap

Zephyr wanting some of what the students made for dinner

Zephyr found another lap to snuggle into while I was making some dinner

When no laps were available he dug himself a hole in the snow to protect himself from the wind (what a smart dog)

Snuggled in the hole he dug

I have some more photo's and some video on my phone I will try and upload tomorrow

Here is a few from today in the yard and walking on the beach behind our house:
My half sister Sarah having a snuggle with Zephyr out on the deck.

Zephyr sitting on the deck waiting for treats.

Taking a break from chasing sticks on the beach

Laying on the beach

And a few playing in the backyard

Don't right anything off... I would like Zephyr and I to come over there at some point for one of the Tamaskan UK shows. He is amazing at traveling and if I can just find a way to get him to ride next to me in the plane...juice wrote:he is beautiful hes going to be big, hope your house is big enough lol. its a shame he isnt in the uk as i would have liked him as a dad to my future litter with lexi if it had been possible (genetics). x

I think if your dog is a certified service dog, and you get a note from your doctor saying that he needs to be with you for emotional support that that may be the way to get him on the plane
Anyone know for sure?

I thought of this before, but with planes I think you have to have disability that cannot be kept under control by medication.Hawthorne wrote:I think if your dog is a certified service dog, and you get a note from your doctor saying that he needs to be with you for emotional support that that may be the way to get him on the plane

that would be good if you can get over. get him a big coat and a wig and pass him off as your long lost brother lol, then he could have his own seat. i nearly waited for a puppy from that litter but i couldnt wait. he is just so handsome plus he is a breeding male, only want the best for my future puppies. x

Check out this info--they can't discriminate against you if you have a disability (not that you have one--but I think I could feign an emotional disability for the sake of my dog
