Not very long haha... the swan swam up to the dogs and started hissing / making weird noises (like a horse neighing) and then Jasper wussed out, leaped backwards and scampered off down the beach with the girls in hot pursuit. hehehe

Swans are so vicious and territorial! Finch tried to make friends with a couple (luckily he was on a lead at the time and I kept him away!) - I think Jasper and your girls have much better survival instincts than my boy

Oh c'mon Jasper
Actually tbh I'm quite glad your dogs didn't actually try to fight with that waterfowl for long like my Buddy did once at Wasaga Beach in 2006 (he barked at a pair of swans and their signets as they surfaced to the sand and then tackled the male (ouch) in the neck only to realize that the waterfowl was too strong for him to take on and I ended up grabbing the leash and running away). One swing of a wing from these animals can break a person's arm and I don't want to ever picture a bigger dog doing what my chihuahua did though plus he was lucky the swan did not chase him down for that and considering that there were signets around which can really elevate the parents' stress level and motivate them to attack more aggressively at intruders.

Also as a person with exotic Canada geese friends, I still have trouble getting along with those occasional visiting swans in my friend's turf myself and often (hesitatingly) chase them away the moment they start hissing at my friends plus I love my goslings and don't want those bigger waterfowls picking on them though they usually only target the parents.

I love how big your Zora has grown ♥

They were taken with an old camera (not digital) so he had the film manually developed in greyscale.

I love the greyscale photos, Jasper and Vixen almost look like real wolves in them!
Also looks like your friend befriended your dogs I guess Tams are simply charming!

Tams can be very charming, I have a friend and both her and her daughter are not keen on dogs (scared of most), but both love Saga.
