Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Very husky/malamute like in the face ... do you think that will change as he grows?
Still very cute
Beautiful dogs in your family
Still very cute

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Lovely family photo! x
Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
It's probably because of his masking (or lack of it) and his small ears that he looks a bit malamute in the face from the front on the pictures now. If you see him in full body or the side of his face he doesn't look like a husky or malamute, he has nice long legs and a very slope stop.susann wrote:Very husky/malamute like in the face ... do you think that will change as he grows?

Still think he will end up looking a lot like Sølve?Rahne wrote:It's probably because of his masking (or lack of it) and his small ears that he looks a bit malamute in the face from the front on the pictures now. Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
I believe Susann is talking about the masking (or lack of) with the face being white and the mask not reaching the nose (like the malamute's mask above).
Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
I think its called a widows peak. The lighting must be making it more pronounced as it really isnt that obvious in real life....
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,

Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
I think it's actually pretty normal at that age for it to look that way.
The puppy coat seem to start dropping first from the face in that kinda marking, So I think that's what we're seeing
this picture you can see a comparison with how Sølve looked around the same age in the face (half sister of Winter)
You see she has the same V colored "marking"

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Was hoping to take him to a safe place this weekend so he could play off the leash and I could take photos of him but I need the car to get there and my boyfriend needed the car this weekend so that has to wait until next week. Have taken some photos of him instead in front of our home.

You're right.. he really DO look a lot like Sølve at that age, though a bit bigger bones and better ears I think

He is going to be one handsome Tam! His eyes are already quite impressive. He's absolutely gorgeous and I want one like him too

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Gorgeous! Those pics really show off the cream in his coat. He's going to be so handsome fully grown.

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Lovely pictures... I still miss him not being here

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
He is Beautiful!!
Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Yes it was only the masking I was thinking of.......HiTenshi16 wrote:I believe Susann is talking about the masking (or lack of) with the face being white and the mask not reaching the nose (like the malamute's mask above).

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
I only meant the lack of mask not shape or colouring...Blustag wrote:Your kiddin yeahsusann wrote:Very husky/malamute like in the face ... do you think that will change as he grows?
This is one of my Malamute... notice the totally different head shape and colouring

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Maccon did also have a kind of "V" marking at that ageNino wrote:I think it's actually pretty normal at that age for it to look that way.

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Below is a picture of his sister Tika. You can see that her mask is coming in and she has the "V" on forehead. It's just her puppy hair receding from her face. I'm sure that's all you see with Winter, it's just harder to tell since he doesn't have the dark mask on his face.

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Hehe, don't worry you will see lots of pictures of him of course
We just got back from the vets, gotten a check-up and his shots. Vet said everything was fine with him, heart sounded well and his both testicles are in place etc. He behaved very well, he is still a bit skittish but the vet gave him lots of yummie treats and he was very calm, almost fell asleep on the table lol.

Glad the vet found everything in place and heart sound
Not surprised though as he had a vet check before leaving here

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Beautiful! I admit I first read that topic asking about the white tamaskan and thought to myself that it would look too much like a white GSD, but boy is the creme a sight to see! Beautiful pup there.

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
He is stunning, I hope there are more pale Tamaskans in the future.
Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
Glad to hear he has his balls
he is a sweety and was my fav (because I thought we'd end up keeping him) so he got extra cuddles whenever I walked past. Im a bad mummy lol, I always spoil the favourites, not that I dont cuddle the rest of them of course....

Very similar, can not wait to see how he grows up

Re: Winter (Blustag Golden Boy)
I know this is going to sound obvious but wow, being all white he has such a different look to him. He looks very sharp. He looks great Rahne.
