Grizzly Bear (the not-bear-cat-thing)
This is going to be a bit image heavy, sorry (and long-winded, oops)!
Anyway, though...This is my manx, Griz(zly bear). She's the first pet I ever bought for myself, so she's always been extra special to me. I found her on petfinder.com during my senior year of high school and after begging my dad for about a week or so to let me get her, we drove to the humane society that she was at (in a snow storm, even..) and picked her up about a week before Christmas. She was about 4 months old and had an awful eye infection (her mom and the rest of the litter were found under a porch in Flint) and a congested cough, but that didn't stop her from running around the room while I signed her papers. She even jumped right up on the table, took my glasses straight off my face, and ran away with them. She's not so little now at nearly 4 years old. :)
Her name was already 'Griz' at the humane society, and after seeing the length of her front claws (they could wrap right around our finger) and how she tended to climb our legs like they were trees if we didn't pick her up fast enough, I decided that it was short for 'Grizzly Bear' and didn't bother to change it, hahaha. Nowadays she has a little bit of a catty attitude and can be a bit of a princess, but I love her so. She's almost always with me and never fails to run to the door and greet me with a serenade of happy meows after I've been away. Most nights she sleeps next to me in bed (which is an improvement from when she used to sleep on my face as a kitten..).
Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures of when she was small; I lost most of them when my family moved.

she is adorable! i love black cats
sounds like you were both lucky to find each other... and in a snow storm too!

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.
The wolf that wins? The one you feed!
~ Cherokee Proverb
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

I LOVE black cats! Lots of people call them creepy but to me they are less creepy than those feral cats in my neighbourhood. Especially the mixed Bengal cats roaming among them. Funny how you called the topic "Grizzly Bear"

Adorable. I actually thought, from the first picture, that she was a black bear! I got scared at first
