Love the B&W pic, btw.

His upper canines are hidden in his lips in that one, it is a funny angle. He definitely doesn't have short fangs. That's the first/only howling picture I've got, but I will try to take some better ones when the chance arrives.Tiantai wrote:The howling photo surprisingly looks less wolf like as his short fangs don't give that wolf-like feeling but he is still a handsome dog nonetheless

Someone asked me a whole bunch of specific questions on the ANCD thread, so I thought I'd just copy and paste them and my answers into here! If you have any other specific ones, I'm happy to answer...Tatzel wrote:He is so incredibly stunning!
How is he character wise now that he grew up more?
I'm glad you liked the thread! There are a heck of a lot of photos in here, for sure. I also keep lists of dog names, so I guess I am a geek tooChenB wrote:What a delightful journey I have just been on!!!! Took me almost 20 minutes to watch your boy grow from a fuzzy black pup to an incredibly stunning beastie! I loove the name Yarrow.... I actually have a dog name diary (I know geekie) I have to say.... The name Yarrow has been in there for years!! Looove looove loove that boy.
PS.... Just to give you fair warming....I am moving in, in approximately one week.... I won't need much space... Promise!!
J/K Hahaha
....yes, well, he is not a wolf so it's not that surprising that he doesn't look exactly like one.Tiantai wrote:In my opinion Yarrow actually looks less wolf-like in some photos depending on the angle where it was taken. Although he does look more like a wolf than the black Tamaskans.

Thank you! I started a new thread for him, it has his most recent photos. He is about 90 lbs and 29'' at the shoulder, though I haven't measured him in a while. He hasn't grown much in the past few months, but I wouldn't be surprised if he grew a bit more before he was totally done.kcyin1569 wrote:Such a gorgeous boy! How big is he now? Is he still growing?
Wow! He's a big boy! Are his littermates around the same size as him?Kootenaywolf wrote:Thank you! I started a new thread for him, it has his most recent photos. Okay, that makes sense. Though both of my dogs are smart, they're also not as head-strong or willful, and very submissive. With them I never really had to correct them more than once or twice, because they want to please me. Teaching them on an electric fence would be easy. I can see how that wouldn't work for a Tam or an ANCD. They're very smart, and as I have observed, can think for themselves just fine. I think that if I tried with a Tam or an ANCD, the dog would outsmart the fence...AZDehlin wrote:When I was doing screening for my ANCD Anne wanted to make sure I had a six foot fence with a anti dig parameter... An electric fence wouldn't work with my tamaskan for sure he is too strong headed and determined, not so sure it would work with my ANCD either.
