Re: ANCD puppy Yarrow
Thanks everyone
Took some video of Yarrow and his buddy Tamlyn playing yesterday. I missed the crazy full speed running around (Yarrow has been getting a bit quicker lately, he used to just trip over his own feet and fall on his face - he still has some growing to do before he is totally coordinated!), but thought I'd post this anyway....
Also here are a few pictures, it has been raining a ton lately so not the greatest picture taking weather...

Me and both my boys!

I wonder if Yarrow and Rann were to stand next to each other, who would look more wolfish?

Pictures from today - Yarrow came out horse riding with us, for the second time. He does very well around the horses I'm happy to say! (and I apologize to those of you who see all my photos on facebook and then again here...)

Well, I don't like Yarrow at all and he doesn't like the mountains, I can see it on his face. He likes flat countries, like the Netherlands. I think you need to give him away. So, because I feel so sorry for you, I would like to help. Send him as soon as possible to me!!!!!

Here is another video (I seem to be on a video kick these days!). Yarrow and Jasper playing down by the river the other day. Yarrow was getting the zoomies! He is now officially as big as Jasper - they are the same height, and Yarrow weighs 2 lbs more. When I weighed/measured a few days ago Yarrow was 57lbs and 24 inches tall. He just turned 19 weeks.

Finally the rain stopped and we had some nice weather for picture taking! Yesterday we went on a hike and then camped out at a beach. It was lovely! Yarrow will be 20 weeks tomorrow.

Big feet!

He is still extremely shy with strangers. He is great with the people he has accepted into his pack! From what I have gathered, his other 6 siblings are all not shy at all - so, luck of the draw I guessTerriHolt wrote:Love the silhouette pictureHe is growing nicely... Beach days galore! Yarrow really likes the water, though he has yet to actually go swimming.
Yarrow turned 20 weeks old yesterday. He is 55lbs and just under 25 inches tall.

Re: ANCD puppy Yarrow
We went on our first alpine hike yesterday, and Yarrow had a blast! There was still quite a bit of snow up there and he loves snow. He did really well, and I feel like he has had a kind of breakthrough with his shyness in he past week or so (YAY!!!). We'll see, but I feel like we are finally making progress
Here are some photos from the hike....

Always getting told off by everyone!

He was on leash for a while because there was a wicked cliff nearby, and I don't quite trust him yet to make good decisions!

Re: ANCD puppy Yarrow
It's quite good. He sticks around very close when we're out offleash and checks in regularly, and he recalls well most of the time - it's not 100% if there is something really interesting going on, but he is young yet and we're still working on it. I have him on leash around traffic or in crowded areas where he is nervous, but otherwise he is pretty much offleash all the time.Nino wrote:how is his recall Brynne?
And, I'm so happy because his shyness really seems to be improving. We went on a walk with a lady he didn't know today and at one point we were sitting down and he came and lay in between us, rolled over on his back, and let her cuddle and pet him....! This is HUGE improvement from where he was even just a few weeks ago.

Here are some Yarrow photos from the last few days, just taken in the yard. He turned 5 months on he 17th, and last time I weighted/measured him (about a week ago) he was 59 lbs and 25'' tall.

c

As big as he is getting, he sill looked pretty small next to the Saint Bernard that I just took care of for a week. Yarrow loved this guy! It seems like the bigger the dog, he more he loves it.

Re: ANCD puppy Yarrow
Funny, I was in a conversation with Ann some time ago and asked for how much of Apollo is in Yarrow due to them being opposite coloured and looking extremely different from the pictures I've seen of him.
So this was the result:
Here's a photo of Apollo that I was shown, courtesy to Ann D.
So this was the result:
Took me a while to decipher it all.Titles/Awards/Tests of Apollo, Grandfather of Cola's and Fresca's litter:

Some new pictures of Yarrow. We went on another awesome hike the other day. I didn't get as many photos of Yarrow up there as I would have liked, but here are a few of the ones I got. As of yesterday Yarrow is 64lbs and just a hair under 26 inches tall.

Resting at the top. He always finds himself a den somewhere to curl up in!

And here are some from in the yard the other day
