I figured I'd start a new thread for Yarrow since the old one is getting pretty long, and it's more his puppy thread! So here is his new one starting at 1 year old.

He's an Alaskan Noble Companion Dog, a gorgeous one at that. He looks great Brynne, I hope we can meet up during the summer with the pups!

Gorgeous as ever! Just curious: does he ever carry his tail over his back? His brother, Sonny, sometimes carries his straight down, but has a sickle tail more often than not.

Yarrow's is usually either straight down or straight out, when he's on the go. If he's really excited about something it sometimes curves in more of a sickle, but it doesn't really go over his back. In the horse riding video above you can see him in action, that's his normal tail carriage while out and about (fairly straight). When he's more relaxed it hangs straight down.

Yarrow's pictures remind me of the wonderful set of "canine" words in Lakhotan

Sunka (Dog)
Sunkmanitu (Dog outdoors = coyote)
Sunkmanitutanka (Dog outdoors too big to fit inside = wolf)
Sunkawankan (Dog of The Great Spirit = horse)

How blessed are these friends of nature to us

Mark

I am so glad to have one of Yarrows brothers. Noque's tail remains straight down of straight out but no sickle or curl yet... Hoping it stays that way.

Something tells me your Noque's going to grow taller than your Zephyr. 8-)

Yarrow's was completely straight with never a curve in it for quite a while, and then as he got older it started having a bit more of a curve just when he's excited or whatever. But it's still pretty straight most of the time.

Yarrow is looking pretty different these days, he has shed out his whole insanely thick undercoat so he is looking really scruffy and skinny!

Nice harness! Are you working him in any protection? We started Naima and Kona in protection and got them leather agitation harnesses--I love how steampunky they look.

I really wanted to do IPO with him but he is WAY to shy to do any kind of protection work, unfortunately. I just found this harness second hand and looove how it looks, and I like walking him in it in certain situations. Also, I'm hoping that it will also fit Onyx (my Malinois puppy) once she grows up - it's at it's biggest for Yarrow so maaaaybe it will fit her at it's smallest? I am definitely going to do IPO with her.
