Adopt A Pet

Post by Wolfheart2112 » Sat Feb 23, 2013 5:02 am

Tomorrow I am heading out with my mum early in the morning to go to Petsmart. Why go you ask? Well, this weekend is National Adoption Week. Petsmart and 100's of other pet stores/humaine societies are opening their doors to the public for an adoption weekend! I hope tomorrow I will find a little puppy to bring home and love. It's a big responsability but I know I can handle it. Can't wait to see the dogs and cats :)

Good luck with your -possible- future adoption! It's very nice of you to give a second chance to an unwanted pet. :) keep us posted

Good luck, I got my first cat and first dog through a Petsmart rescue... some of the best pets I have had.

I can't do it right now, have to wait until after moving day. But we'll be bringing in a new pet from one of the shelters in the area here in seattle.
(Provided someone hasn't got him) But his name is Moochie, an 8yr old stray cat that someone dropped off at the Purrfect Pals shelter here, and his well special. Has no eyes, so he's blind. I've seen people adopt one-eyed kitties but I don't think I've ever seen anyone adopt blind one, let alone one like Moochie. but :) we plan to

He's got the look of a street fighter. Good on you for planning to take him.

Good luck!
I got my first dog adopting an older dog (5-6 years old back then) together with my friend and roommate..
When I moved I knew I had to get another dog (we agreed beforehand that he was hers because she was more knowledgeable at that time about owning dogs specially husky types) because I loved owning a dog and couldn't imagine me not having one in my life.. <3

So it turned out we didn't get Buster. There were quite a few more families interested but he went to a single mother of 2 so he'll be happy there :) Sad we didnt get him but we are still looking at dogs in the area who need a new home :D

Sucks to hear that you didn't get the dog but at the very least I am happy to see that he went to a happy home

Shame you didn't get him but everything happens for a reason and that reason may be that there is the perfect dog waiting for you :D

(That sounds unbelievably cheesy yes but, when some bad things have happened to me, sometimes something good has happened sometime later and i'd think... well, if that other thing hadn't have happened i wouldn't be able to do this or i wouldn't be able to have this now).
