He is SO gorgeous, I would like to learn more about these indian dogs. I met one once here in Canada and he was an awesome dog, but I haven't been able to gather much more information about them.
Dont get me wrong, Nikan is really cute!
But before people get all " oh, I want one!" it might be wise the research a bit more. Especially about the big hoax, scams, threats, agression issues and health issues that has been surrounding these dogs.
Been there, done that... And it is even worse than the blu's scam.
That he reminds some of a coyote, can make sense as there are bloodlines with coyote. As well as wolf, kelpie or Carolina dog.
Nikan is a really friendly dog. He has no signs of agression..he is carefully by men's and very greedy..but that is all.
He learns very quickly and is very obedient...we never use a leash just in the near of citys or streets..he hasnt problems with any dogs...he was very quickly housebroken. On the first night in our home he slept until next morning without any problems. Alone at home is not the best but one more dog, he hasnt a problem.
He learns good he know that he should play with his toys and not with our stuff(just an example).
I love him sooo much and he was a so much good enrichment for our pack
Aww he's so adorable! But I'm probably never going to get an AID though as I've had interactions with three different types* of wild and captive Coywolves (not Coydogs although I have met one of those too) living here in Ontario and I already know that I don't have enough money to care for a Coydog or Wolfdog. In comparison to the few pure Hudson Bay and Buffalo wolves that I've interacted with who are more calm and silent as adult, the Coywolves just never stop fooling around giving me the impression that the coyote gene gives them ongoing hyperactive personalities even in Coydogs of upper mid to high contents.
*8 Eastern wolves (~58% Grey wolf content and 42% Coyote), a few wild Eastern coyotes (15% Grey wolf, 85% Coyotes) roaming Toronto, and one Mackenzie Valley wolf x coyote hybrid (probably a 50/50 of both).
Very beautiful dog! Is there any wolf/coyote content? I've been doing some research on this breed for a couple months, but unfortunately there's not a lot besides scams and false information.
When the wolves cry
to the Blue Corn Moon,
When they howl at
the passing of mountains,
When their gold eyes
pierce your mind and soul,
When you become one
with the wolf within,
then I will love you.
