Sorry to hear of the quarrels he has, hope he does not make things too difficult on you.
He looks so big, how tall does he stand?

Great photos!! It just might be the lighting (and shading) in that last picture, but Ayla looks so serious! It looks like she's telling him off with just her expression. Haha!

He's a big boy now, here two photos where he's next to me.
I tried to measure him last week, he should be arounf 75 at the shoulder. He only is 7 months old... O_o

Wow, he's gonna get super huge, especially considering that high contents are only grown out with what, 2 years of age? Crazy!

The last picture is just hilarious, looks like he forgot how walking works haha

Heya :)

Yes Tatzel, I fear he will become huge. We have a talk, and i warned him that, if he comes over 80 cm at the shoulder, i will cut him off a few cm ;)

He, and ayla, have dry dog food (kibbles) in free access. They can eat as much as they want, and whenever they want.
And we give them raw food (more or less 1kg a day for lycan, 400gr for ayla) each 2 days (or everyday if we have plenty of it).
If they have some meat, they don't touch the kibbles.

They live outside, with access to the house when we are here and the cats in their security area.
They sleep outside. (and yeah my heart is broken, not to have ayla next to me. But lycan would kill the cats and destroy the appartment, and i don't want to let him outside alone... So...)
We spend 2 hours a day with them, playing etc. They are playing with each other a lot. And we make a big walk each 2 or 3 days.
Lycan is a special animal, he is mostly territorial. Bring him to walk in the "outside world" is a way to socialise him, learn him to be stress-controlled in unknow area but not for make him have physical exercises.

Lycan was too young to be "worked" untill now, but in the two months to come we will be able to start to work him with food, and outside without ayla.
*sight*

Handfull time to come :)

Hahaha, oh my!
Also so far he seems pretty submissive to both yourself and Ayla.
Hope this doesn't change when he gets into his rowdy-phase, especially since he's so massive!

Not sure about your question lucas, i gave Ayla "taste of the wild" kibbles in her first year, but that seems to cause her itches.
Is it what you were talking about?

Tatzel, yeah he's very submissive for now, but still a baby... Only seven months.
Things should be ok with Ayla "forever". With the humans, it depends on how our relationship will evolve in the next year.
And how strong will be his wolf winter syndrom next winter (for this one, we're ok, he's too young to be a testosterone monster).
It should be ok with me, as I am a "female" we won't be in competition.

I hope I'm right :D

Will you castrated him?

Here is a very complete article about wws : http://www.wolf-to-wolfdog.org/wws.htm

I don't know yet about having him fixed. I have one more year to make a decision :)
It will depend on how this year will be, mainly.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful dog! But too wild for me and try to kill other dogs like you wrote about Tyr with six months... He will be much more difficult when his hormones really kick in. Good luck with him, hope everything will turn out the way you planned.
But a question, you only walk the dogs one long walk in 2 or 3 days? Mila would destroy the house too if I did that.

It is hard enough breaking up but loosing an beloved animal too is too much-I wish you strengh, I'm sure Ayla will help you trough this hard times!!
At least Ayla will be able to sleep with you in your bed again. :| I bet this will help a little bit when you can cuddle her all night long.

Yes, this is exactly what's going on. We take care of each other... Untill this day when things will be back to normal, eventually.
