Piglets, Ivy & Holly

Post by blufawn » Wed Sep 01, 2010 1:43 pm

Here are my new Lincolnshire Curly Coated piglets, Holly and Ivy.
Holly is the darker girl and Ivy is the blond.

I love pigs! And they look great! Will Holly be black when she gets older? And I like the name Ivy so much, maybe I would like to name a future dog Ivy and now your piglet is called Ivy.

Hollys colour is called Swallowbelly (not sure why). She should stay that colour as she gets older but her stripes will go.
We called her Ivy because we had to move about 10 tonne of Ivy out of our garden before we got them as it would give them a poorly tummy. Holly was given her name because of the christmas carol, the Holly and the Ivy.

Their names are great and I guess that these pigs are called Swallowbelly because a Swallow has the same markings as a Swallowbelly pig. ;) It looks nice I think.

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

The wolf that wins? The one you feed!
