Walk with a wolf

Post by muensterland » Sun Aug 01, 2010 7:57 pm

One week ago we had a walk with a wolf. It has been at a wildlife Park in the "Lüneburger Heide". After visiting the wildlife park we met Tanja Askani with with her Arctic wolf bitch Naaja for a walk. A completely unique experience we will never forget. Tanja Askani is supernice and she took very much time for us. On the walk also took part the mouflon Baby Emi, dachshund lady Amsel and the German Wirehaired Attila. Not only we had our fun the animals also. It was a very exciting time to come in so close contact with a wolf.

There are wolfwalks in the UK for anyone interested. One of the nicest places to visit wolves in UK is Wildwood which can be found on the internet They have quite a large pack of European wolves and last time I was there was fortunate to see the cubs which were then about 10 weeks old. Spent the day photographing them behind the scenes which was awesome. Must dig out some of the pics I took.

Wow, that's great!! And the picture of the moufon and the wolf looks like a picture from heaven, if there would be one (wich I doubt).
I searched and found the story: "The wolf will lie down with the lamb and the leopard with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together. Also the cow and the bear will graze and the lion will eat straw like the ox." And you two guys witnessed it! :lol:

They are lovely pictures :)
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
.............................................................
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
