Greetings from Bedford, UK

Post by Caelis » Sat Apr 16, 2011 12:46 pm

Hi all

Thought I should introduce myself having registered on the forum some months ago. We have researched the breed as far as possible, and I'd like to thank everyone for the very informative posts here, which have answered many of the questions I had so far about Tamaskans. They do seem a wonderful breed!

My family and I (three children aged 12, 17 and 20) would love to actually meet the dogs. Looking at pictures and reading about them isn't quite the same as seeing them in the fur! We'd very much like to come to the show in May, and hope to meet some of you and your dogs there.

We're a very active family, my husband, eldest son and I are runners (canicross is something I'd like to do eventually) and I work from home. We have plenty of space and a secure garden. Our children are very keen on having a Tamaskan, and all it entails! I think our lifestyle is such now that we can offer any future dog the care and attention it needs.

I do realise that there is a screening process and a waiting list. Hopefully we'll be able to have a Tamaskan at some time in the future!

Teresa

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

The wolf that wins? The one you feed!

~ Cherokee Proverb

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

Welcome, I hope you can make it to the show, its the best way to meet the dogs. We did that last year and as soon as we got home put on a deposit, we had already started the screening process. Be prepared to fall in love with them.

Welcome
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
.............................................................
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
