Greetings from Holland
Hi y'all,
I came here by surprise. I've always had a passion for dogs (and in particular for wolf-look-a-likes).
I have a german shepherd female named Bismarck.
She is a very sweet and sensitive dog. She just turned 2 on the 7th of October.
The Tamaskan is a breed that intrigues me.
I also like the west siberian laika and of course the german shepherd holds a special place in my heart.
Just wanted to know a lot more about the Tamaskan since it is such a 'new' breed.
I'm also very eager to know if the Tamaskan inherited the will to please of the german shepherd which it is bred with.
I'm hoping you all could give me a insight in that particular question.
Looking forward to some answers!
Bye now,
Marijn
PS: i'm sorry for any spelling mistakes.

Re: Greetings from Holland
hi and welcome

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.
The wolf that wins? The one you feed!
~ Cherokee Proverb
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

Welcome to our forum. The German Shepherd is way back in years and generations now that I doubt it has much influence in our breed today.

Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't say these dogs have the same drive to work as the German Shepherd, Rottie or Border Collie. With that said, this breed is not like other Northern breeds. They do like to do obedience work. I've done agility and obedience and will be working on a CGC soon.
Poke around and learn lots. You will fall in love soon like the rest of us. Be careful - Tamaskans are contagious
