I'm Suuz, and if you want the short version, skip the next three paragraphs.
I'm a translator/writer from the Netherlands (and finishing my Master) and I kind of stumbled across the existence of the Tamaskan by accident. No seriously, I was just browsing the net because I am considering getting a new dog when I saw the name somewhere. I had never before heard of the Tamaskan so I decided to google the name, and boy, what a pleasant surprise it was.
You see, I live on a large farm, with my partner Tom, my brother M. and my brother's girlfriend (we share the yard but both have our separate houses). We have always had Dutch shepherds, and our current dog Noortje is one as well. But Tom has a weak spot for dogs with a wolflike exterior. Now, I can understand his love for such beauties but I've always said that exterior should not matter. Not much anyway. What I want is an active, smart dog who is kind to people (and children!) and not aggressive (basically, I love shepherds), and it seemed rather impossible to find such a dog with the looks of a wolfdog. Until I found out about the Tamaskan of course!
So now I'm seriously considering getting a Tamaskan, which is why I'm here, I'd love to know all there is to know about them before I commit myself to buying one.
So the short version would be: Hi, it's very nice to meet you!
Suuz
P.S. I could only find an older picture of Noor (I'm not on my own computer), but figured I'd share it anyway.
