Greetings from Denmark

Post by kian » Thu May 10, 2012 7:55 am

Dear tamaskan lovers!

My name is Kian Tadayoni and I'm writing from Denmark. I have made a reservation for a male tamaskan from the Saxon 2013 litter, and I honestly can't wait!

I have had animals my entire life, and I have for the last five years taken care of a dog I got from a friend who didn't have enough time for it. He is a lovely crossbreed between German Shepherd, Labrador and a number of other breeds. Sadly he has in his old age turned blind, and as he is now used to the area where me and my family live we have decided to let him stay when I move out (I am turning 19 this summer). I will however not be able to live without a dog for long  and as I am going to live most of the time in the great woods of Sweden I have decided to get a tamaskan male, and hopefully a female later. So until next winter I will try to get familiar with the species through this forum and any written material I can find!

Cheers

Kian

Welcome to the Forum. You wont go wrong with a Saxon pup. Frigga and Odin produce stunning dogs with fantastic temperaments. Its a shame your not ready now, as his current litter are fantastic and is the litter I got Ayden from.

Welcome to the forum. I saw a Facebook page of a dog trainer teaching a blind dog agility by scent. Another person posted on the page saying they were using different scented oils on door ways etc in their home because their blind dog couldn't find it's way around. Just an option if you really wanted to take your dog with you when you move.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Nivenj I will look forward to hear more about Ayden. I must admit it is very tempting to get a puppy from the current litter, they look so sweet!

Kylievr thank you for the tip! I think we will let him stay at my family both because he knows the area around our house, and also because both my brothers want to take care of him.. and well it just seems right to keep him with my family. However I will look into the tip if it can help him at home!

Hej hej!
I live in Bohuslän, between Uddevalla and Strömstad... about 120 km north of Göteborg.
I am looking for a new house but I will still be living in the beautiful Bohuslän :D

Where in Denmark do you live?

Thank you again all it is such nice gesture of you to welcome new people like this!

sounds lovely Susann! I ask you because when I get my puppy I will be living most of the time and Sweden in the forests between Markaryd and Osby, so it will be nice to know some tamaskan owners in Sweden as well! the rest of the time I live in Copenhagen btw :)

hej Nino tak for tippet jeg synes det er en god idé at få hofterne checket og skal nok huske det til vinter! Enig de hvalpe der er tilbage er så dejlige, men jeg tror det er ventetiden værd -både for mig og den kommende hvalp!

Welcome to the forum, I have Saga from the first Saxon litter and she is wonderful, so I would recommend a Saxon pup to anyone.
