Hi from Milwaukee!

Post by noxbird » Tue Jan 08, 2013 6:56 am

Been lurking for awhile, figured I should probably make a post at some point!

Hopeful future Tamaskan owner here, living with my partner in Milwaukee, WI. We've been reading up on the breed and readying ourselves for our first dog. We realize the Tamaskan isn't the ideal first dog, but we think we can handle it!

First step: get a dog friendly townhouse. We're on a waiting list and hopefully that goes well. There's a massive dog park nearby and we'd be able to give our boy a bedroom or the basement.

Everything else kinda falls into place. We've already worked out a budget, we've done a lot of diet research, and we've got a good idea what sort of things to buy. Oh, and one of us needs a more dog-friendly car (we both have sports cars, neither of which is amazing for a big dog)

I've already visited Moondance out in Madison and Dylan left quite a positive impression on me!

Anyways, we're hoping to be able to get a puppy sometime in July or thereafter. We'll see how that goes! I look forward to making new friends in the community either way.

Hi and welcome :D

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.
One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

The wolf that wins? The one you feed!

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity... I'm not sure about the former.

Welcome.

The 2013 breed show is going to be in Madison, WI this year. You should go for a Tam overload. ;)

Also, love your avatar. I'm a sucker for anything gryphon related.

I'd make a comment about the cold, but I'm sure you're quite used to that in the UP!

I love winter and the snow but I will never be use to the cold. I was born and grew up in Phoenix, AZ part of me will always be a desert rat.
