Hello! from the Rockies
Hey everyone!
I'm Lyss, a recent high school grad living in Wyoming, USA. I've been searching around for wolf look-alike dog breeds for many years - I'm happily surprised I've stumbled across the Tamaskan Dog. I've been following the breed at a distance for a few months, and I just have to say I'm sorry about the bad rep some disgruntled people have been spreading about the breed, and about some of you. I decided, rather than shy away and ignore this wonderful breed just because of some rumors, I'd rather get involved and spread the love ;] What better way to get started than on the International Tamaskan Forum?
I've been a wolf-lover since my pre-kindergarten days (every other summer, my family and I would travel up to Yellowstone just to catch a glimpse of the local wolves). I used to dream of owning one, but growing older has a funny way of giving one perspective of things. Needless to say, finding such a beautiful dog breed without any recent wolf ancestry was like a dream-come-true. For now, my dad has involved himself (and me, a little bit) with German Shepherd Dogs, and he recently adopted Chaska (pictured in my avatar) into the family. But, hopefully, we'll be able to learn more about this beautiful breed, and maybe adopt one sometime in the future.

Wyoming is amazing: few people, lots of nature, and beautiful seasonal weather... I just can't stand the wind :\
