Hello from the Big Easy!

Post by Scout0714 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:23 pm

Hey everyone,

My name is Parker, and I'm from New Orleans. I just graduated from LSU in May, and I should be pursuing my masters degree in finance in the fall. I have been surrounded by dogs my entire life, but my main guy was Scout. He was a golden retriever and unfortunately passed away due to cancer a couple of years ago. Now that I am out of college and done with all the partying and random road trips, I am really looking forward to dog ownership again.

I stumbled across the Tamaskan breed as I was looking for dogs that didn't have a lot of health concerns (mainly cancer), and in no time at all I fell in love. I'm really looking forward to learning more about the breed as well as getting to know all of you through the forum, and I hope to someday be a Tamaskan owner myself!

Cheers everyone!

Parker

Welcome Parker, no dog will ever replace what you have lost (I know, it took me 4 years to even think about another), but a Tamaskan is an unusual kind of "soul" animal that just "happens." Hope you find your new "soul" dog in a Tamaskan soon.

One is Evil. It’s anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.
The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

Welcome.

Sorry to hear of your loss - it took me decades to get over one very special dog - but in the end, I have a Tamaskan pup, Kona, (all of four months old at this writing) who has once again taken my heart.

It has been said that a person can divide their lives into years BC and AD - Before Canine and After Dog. (Glad to be in the 'AD' category again.)

Tamaskans are unique, joy filled, challenging, and one of the best things that can happen in your life.

May your graduation be fruitful and prosperity follow And may your quest for a Tamaskan be rewarded.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my dog already thinks I am. ~Author Unknown
