I recently met a Tamaskan at a local dog park, looked them up when I got home and fell head over heels for the breed. I've read through the forum and other websites, and while I'm not currently looking for another dog, I'm going to learn as much as I can about the breed until we can get one.
Right now my furbabies are a 4 year old Alaskan Husky (3/4 Siberian, and some Greyhound/Retriever/Samoyed) named Kita and my 11+ year old golden/brittany mix, Jesse. I've been realizing lately that Jesse's getting old...he's had a lot of health problems this last month, and is starting to show his age.
As much as I hate to think of it, I know the time will come -hopefully years from now, but still- when he'll no longer be with us. At that time we'll begin looking for a pup since I know Kita will not cope well as an only dog. Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching the breed grow and progress and to learning as much as I can from all the experts on here.
