DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
It is with great sadness that I pass the news on that Steph Helft from Illinois
who owned Rambler (this was her username too) has died suddenly yesterday at work. She was only 41yrs old and this has come as such a shock to not only me but to all her friends and family. Steph was a lovely lady
and kept me up todate with all the news on Rambler (Heidi/Jackal) as he grew.
I wish to pass on my condolences to her friends and family in this awfully sad time. I know her friend and colleague is on here, and Im sure will pass the messages on.

R.I.P Stephanie, thoughts and sympathy go out to your family, you was an amazingly awesome person

The other is Good. It’s joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness and truth.

Re: DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
I'm sitting here, trying to take a deep breath but it's a bit hard, tears are in my eyes.
I really loved to talk to Stephanie - I was hoping one day to take the trip to go and see her and her family, as we had talked about it.
Now I am in total shock - and really sad..
My condolences to her friends and family.. your time was all to soon!

Re: DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
What a shocking news, I saw it at facebook at first.
Although I don't know her very well, only through this forum and facebook, she always looked like a very nice and caring lady, with much love for Rambler. Horrible for her family, friends, Rambler and her other animals. What a shock it must be to hear that your beloved one passed away so young and unexpected. My thoughts are with them. RIP Steph!!

Re: DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
I know her family would be pleased that she touched so many of you with her stories and love for Rambler. Steph was a very special person to so many and will be missed terribly.
I've known and worked with Steph for several years now as we both work for the same Federal government department but in different States. Our mutual work brought us together for weeks at a time over the past few years. For a few years now Steph and I had talked about adopting a Tamaskan. We'd look on the website at photo's and decide which one we wanted, who would get the male, who would get the female (she beat me out on that one!). She adopted her "sweet boy" Rambler last year.
About a week and half ago, I told Steph I was ready to adopt my Tamaskan. She was so excited and immediately put me in touch with Lynn and Tracy, as well as various websites. We emailed and talked on the phone several times a day. She was so excited that I was finally ready. After the holidays I was going to visit her in Illinois to meet Ramber.
I do know that she had open heart surgery about 3 years ago, but she has been doing great. At this time, we still don't know what happened. One minute she was here, next she was gone . . .

Re: DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
Oh no, she wouldn't want anybody to cry. She'd what everyone to be happy that she had (almost) 42 years of love and happiness. She had her horse, another smaller dog, and Rambler. She always felt no matter what happened in her personal (human) relationships, her family was complete and she was content. I have been honored to know her as she was always upbeat and had a wonderful smile to share with all

Re: DEATH OF ONE OF OUR MEMBERS
I know this is not quite right as Steph had not been ill, but I thought I would share it anyway.
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be Thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
