Today we had our Tamaskan Show and it was a huge success. Results will be posted tomorrow but in the meantime I would like to wholeheartedly thank our show committee who did a fantastic job. There were plenty of people and dogs present and I hope all of you had a fabulous day. I was sooooo impressed with the prizes and a HUGE thanks for those who dontated them. Another big thankyou goes to Pete Saxon who very kindly donated a huge painting of wolves which was auctioned and fetched £180 for our rescue. Also many thanks to everyone who put money in our donation bucket...thanks a lot. Thanks to Gemma who manned the kitchen all day and to Lynn Flynn for stepping in to help at the last minute...thanks a lot much appreciated. Lastly thankyou to all of you who attended with your dogs. I hope you all had a great time and hope to see you again next year at our new venue.

Just got back myself (almost an hour ago now). Was lovely meeting Tamaskans in the flesh and having the chance to chat to a couple of owners. Looking forward to the day we have one of our own.

Sadly we struggled slightly in the photo department as everyone was so busy with their dogs and jobs that we only got a few snaps of the dogs in classes and I don't think we managed to get any of the winners of the novelty classes so if anyone has some, please put them up here.

This is our Tamaskan cake, it was very yummy.....

Thanks :)

We had 44 dogs entered on the day and we are just now trying to work out exactly how much money was made, we took in more than £400, now we have to work out how much all the food etc cost to work out our profit.....

Cody's bucket made £25 so thanks to every who donated.
Rescue made £180 from the painting kindly donated by Pete Saxon (owner of Odin and Frigga) which was auctioned and won by Lynn (Blustag)

The rest of the money will go to the TDSGB to help towards making next years (or perhaps later this years) show bigger and better than ever before.

Wow! It looks like it was a great event... thanks for sharing the photos! :D
I'll definitely try to make it to the Euro Show in July...
I might end up bringing the pups with me (they'll be 7 weeks and 4 days old at the time). It depends if I can work out all the arrangements. ;)

I hope some more pictures are posted as when we finally got around to remembering half the people had gone home
We learn each year so next year we will get that right and get one person to do all the photography for the day :D There were plenty of dogs present and a lot of people came without dogs just to see the breed. I have already had yesterday several emails from people wanting puppies lol.. We also had a visit which was promised by Terry Doe the author/journalist who is now wanting a puppy too. He very kindly gave me one of his books and left some for prizes and or for the raffle. He was especially smitten with Jodie before he came to the show so was delighted to see her get Best in Show on the day so took lots of pictures of her away with him.

thanks for all these pictures !
It would be great to post them on the breeding website, by litter by example. Like that we could see a lot of pictures of real tamaskan. Some of them are very wolfy ;)

That's brilliant that he came. Should generate lots of good publicity if he gets a pup and has pics of the very lovely Jodie. How could anyone not be smitten with her :!:

Just for now! The next show being held next year will be at the property that we are moving to next week and there will be facilities to camp over for everyone this time as it has plenty of land and space for parking etc etc. Maybe you might like to plan ahead. In the meantime we are hoping to have a HUGE party for all our doggie friends with a camp over sometime in July/August once we are settled in. All are welcome that can make it from our forum here. Details and dates to be given later.

HI everyone

Sounds like it was a great event.
We are so sorry that we couldn't make it. We stayed in London and had a rainy day.

Hope you had a great day and we hope to see most of the people in July or at the next UK Show.
Congrats to all dog which got a prize. Please hug Timber from us. Looking forward to see you soon.
best wishes from Kirsten and Karsten
