Yeah it looks like he's going to have quite a nice mask! I'm super curious to see what his adult colouring/markings are. There haven't been many masked ANCDs to compare to!arianwenarie wrote:I didn't realize he has some masking on him. Very cute.Looooooooove the 3rd and 5th pics!! <3

Re: ANCD Noque
Ann did use at least one dog with a mask in the 90's that is pretty similar though.Kootenaywolf wrote:Yeah it looks like he's going to have quite a nice mask! He's so adorable! Very curious, like the others, to see what he'll look like once adult
I'm SO curious! Enjoy your time with him

Re: ANCD Noque
He looks really great!! I didn't know ANCD came with masking, too! I only have seen the black or white dogs so far!
I'm looking forward to watch him growing up here

Re: ANCD Noque
From what I saw, ANCDs come in solid black, solid white, black with GSD markings, brown/sable with markings (like Noque) and liver...
maybe there are other colors, but these are the ones I know

Re: ANCD Noque
I am extremely impressed with how close he is to the standard but will see what a real judge has to say this summer. The only thing that throws me off is his ear size right now but its also hard to judge that when I am comparing to Zephyr tiny little ears.Tiantai wrote:Aww ♥

Re: ANCD Noque
His ears are indeed HUGE. I wonder what they will look like when he grows older.
It's interesting to see the differences between full siblings, Noque looks nothing like Yarrow (except the eyes IMO). Genetics are pretty interesting

Re: ANCD Noque
They do indeed seem to be considerably larger than yarrow's. But i think Sam's sibling from the 2nd litter has smaller ears... Odd how these things work but they might look more in proportion as he gets older or there may be a lady for him with tiny ears (if you are planning on breeding him).

Re: ANCD Noque
Actually, it's common for pups to have big ears. The ears usually grow rapidly during puppyhood for most dogs but as they get older they start to grow INTO them making the ones on adults look smaller.

Re: ANCD Noque
He actually looks quite a bit like Yarrow in face shape and stuff, just lighter eyes and bigger ears (and obviously different colour). Yarrow had some of the smallest ears in his litter though, and Cassidy who Ann kept from that litter had HUGE ears and he grew in to them. Here's a vid of him at 9 months so still with quite a bit of growing-into-ears left to do - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwSuvGd ... 5w&index=3
Also when Yarrow was Noque's age, his eyes were quite dark. I bet Noque's will be much lighter than Yarrow's, probably a true light yellow (Yarrow's are more gold).
Noque will definitely grow into those ears! They will never be tiny like Zephyr's but they will definitely get smaller. I think it can take up to a year and half (or more) for them to really finish growing into their ears.

Wow! Absolutly stunning!
He will be very pretty when he is fully grown (he already is now!). And those eyes! Hope you keep us updated with a lot of pictures, just like the topics of his older brother!
How is his character?

Re: ANCD Noque
He is very observant and in tuned to me and what I am asking. His recall is perfect and he is very friendly with all other dogs. He startled easily when I first got him but he will gladly go up to people and let them pet him and he will even give kisses to people that baby talk with him
He was friendly with the baby ducks and chickens at the feed store where Zephyr knocked a rack over trying to kill them. He has zero separation issues, only down side is he drools in the car which I am sure he will grow out of.

lol. I'm sure he'll grow into them...with his size, those ears might turn out to be small in proportion to the rest of his body when he's full grown.akaye531 wrote:Beautiful boy! He has such a wolfy look. It will be fun to watch him growFor now, it looks like he could take flight with those ears!!
