His second birthday was in December last year. So he is 2 years and 5 month old. He was getting more carefully to people with around 1,5 year.

Re: Jack Daniels vom Muensterland
Last Saturday we were at a football competition of disables people where the son of a friend of mine took part.
It was a lot of fun and they all love Jack!
First it was OK for him to get touched of the strange persons but then it was too much for him and he barks and growls at them if they come to close to him. I told all people who came along to not touch him and he get more relaxed again. After a little time he calmed down and the other people were allowed to touch him again and some of them played with him.

Re: Jack Daniels vom Muensterland
Last weekend we visited two different dog parks and met around 100 different dogs of all sizes and sexes.
Jack was wonderful!!! He ignored the most of the dogs (also dominant intact males which want to challenge him) and he played with a few.
It was a lot of work to socialize him and the work will go on but it worth it!
I am so proud!!!

Re: Jack Daniels vom Muensterland
I think had to load up some new pictures here after long time.
Jack is doing really great and I love him more and more every day he is with me!
On the last two pictures we were on a festival with American Wolfdog Tatanka. They booked us to play little red riding hood with the wolves. All people were very fascinated.

Re: Jack Daniels vom Muensterland
Wow... time flies... it's 5 years ago I wrote the last post here.
So I guess it's time for a little update of us.
Jack is now 8 years old, father of 8 puppies and grandfather of 3 litters (22 grandchildren in total), castrated since nearly 1 year because of health reasons and still my very big love! ♥
Of course his little friend Jim is also still with us. He now is 5 years old.
Jack and Jim really love each other.
Sadly Jack is getting old... He no longer has so much fun to pull. I guess last winter was our last season of sleddog-sport for Jack...
He still is active of course!! Jack loves long hikes, the longer the better.
I have no idea how active this forum still is. If there are people which aren't following us on Facebook or Instagram, I will post updates here in the future (if there is any interest).

He has got a very nice nature!
Very friendly and trustful to people he knows.
And if someone approaches him without permission, he shows his teeth as warning sign, but not aggressively or bite!
That's why we can take him to football competitions for disable people where people touch him and play with him all the time, and it's OK.

Yeah, he is a big boy for sure! But he has such a gentle heart and loves all people he meets! He really is a special dog !
