Selwyn (J&J Tamaskan)

Post by TarHeelFan »

We lost our beloved Selwyn this week to cancer. She was diagnosed with liposarcoma back in November of 2023, and then lymphoma in June of this year.

She was the most gentle, fun loving, active yet peaceful dog throughout her entire life with us. Her temperament was perfect, and she would get compliments on her beauty wherever we took her. Selwyn was the perfect companion to our new daughter, who is now 2. Our little girl would always ask that Selwyn accompany her during her bed time, and Selwyn was always happy to sit by her crib for a short time while she fell asleep. She was the best family dog, and my constant companion. Always at my hip, I don’t know how I will manage without her beside me.

She battled her cancer valiantly, and did not relent in her fight until the last few days. We are so grateful to have her be a part of our family for 11 wonderful years. She was sired by J&J Night Owl, with Alba Sverical at J&J as her dam.

We will miss her so deeply as she has left a permanent hole in our hearts and home.

Sorry for your loss... unfortunately, cancer is becoming more common within the breed lately, though 11 is a good age overall. It sounds like she had a wonderful life with you.
